One of their more prominent ranges is their Madone 4 series and standing at the high-end of the Madone 4 series range is Trek’s Madone 4.9 model. Everything about this bike is designed for speed and comfort, Trek have utilised their high performance 400 Series OCLV carbon fibre to make certain the Madone 4.9 is strong, feather light and taut, so that it effectively transforms a cyclists effects into speed. Trek’s BB90 carbon bottom bracket, one of the widest found on a road bike, further increases the overall strength, rigidity and lightness of the bike, while further helping riders to accelerate faster than on a standard carbon frame. While the rear of the Madone 4.9 offers riders a level of stiffness not always found on models within this price range, the front of this model helps create a smooth ride. The Bontrager Race Lite fork with carbon legs feature Trek’s E2 aluminium steerer, this exclusive steerer tapers from 1.5″ to 1-1/8″, which results in precision handling. The overall frame of the Madone 4.9 features Trek’s H2 fit, a design that provides cyclists with a more comfortable ride without losing the bikes overall racing feel.

Only the highest quality components are featured on the Trek Madone 4.9, in particular Trek have united Shimano’s Ultegra and Dura-Ace groupsets to create the finest racing drivetrain. Shimano Ultegra shifters, cassette and direct-mount front derailleur and Dura-Ace rear derailleur are guaranteed to provide fast, accurate and smooth shifting. The Shimano Dura-Ace compact crankset offers shorter gearing helping riders to power up inclines as well as glide along flatter terrain, while the Ultegra brakes offer a comforting level of sharpness during fast descents.
